The Discovery teaching unit within the Civilisations of the Target Language module explores key phases and movements that have shaped British civilization. This unit covers pivotal historical and cultural developments, including the intellectual advancements of the Age of Reason, the societal and economic transformations of the Industrial Revolution, and the complex social dynamics of the Victorian Age. It also examines Chartism as a working-class movement, the values and challenges associated with Victorianism, and the profound impacts of British Imperialism in India.
